WE Tech launches Energy Storage Solution for Stenersen new builds
WE Tech Solutions, a leading energy efficiency solution provider, has received an order for its Energy Storage Solution for a series of two 17500 dwt chemical tankers, with an option for two more. The tankers are built for Bergen-based Norwegian shipowner Rederiet Stenersen AS by the Chinese shipyard Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. Stenersen has also selected WE Tech to deliver the permanent magnet shaft generator solution to these new builds.

WE Tech to deliver shaft generator solutions to Stena’s new highly fuel efficient ROPAX ferries
WE Tech has received a significant order to deliver its energy efficient permanent magnet shaft generator solutions to a series of four ROPAX ferries, with an option for another four. The vessels are to be built for the Swedish shipping company Stena RoRo at AVIC Weihai Shipyard Co., Ltd. in China. The four initial vessels will be operated by Stena Line within its route network in Northern Europe. The equipment delivery from WE Tech to the first vessel is scheduled in January 2018.

WE Tech expands its business to Australia by delivering energy efficient solutions to RORO vessels of Toll Shipping
WE Tech has received an order to deliver its permanent magnet shaft generator solutions to a series of two 12,000 dwt RORO vessels. They are to be built for the Australian shipping company Toll Shipping in Sinotrans & CSC affiliated Jinling Shipyard in China. The equipment delivery from WE Tech will commence in August 2017.

WE Tech has received an order to deliver its Direct Drive Permanent Magnet Shaft Generator solution to a series of two 17500 DWT IMO class II chemical tankers, the order also includes an option for two more. The tankers are to be built by the Chinese shipyard Taizhou Kouan Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for Bergen-based Norwegian shipowner Rederiet Stenersen AS. The delivery from WE Tech to the first vessel is scheduled in quarter two of year 2017.

WE Tech receives another order from Besiktas Shipyard in Turkey for the delivery of two Direct Drive Permanent Magnet Shaft Generator solutions
In May 2016, WE Tech received an order from Turkish Besiktas Shipyard to deliver Direct Drive Permanent Magnet Shaft Generator solutions to a series of two 15100 DWT Chemical Tankers, owned by Transport Desgagnés in Canada. This is the second order Besiktas made after the order in February 2015 for a series of two 15100 DWT Asphalt Carriers.
